The Obama Effect: Herman Cain Leads in National Poll

Well push me down and call me Bobby, the Herman Cain aka The Godfather is leading in a national poll of voters, beating out Mittens, The Ken Doll and The Wicked Witch of the West. What is the world coming to?

Public Policy Polling, a Democratic pollster based in Raleigh, North Carolina,  released a poll today of 484 likely Republican primary voters that showed businessman Herman Cain has taken a commanding lead over the competition in the field of 2012 presidential candidates.

Cain received the support of 30 percent of Republican voters. His nearest competition is former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney with 22 percent. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich comes in third with 15 percent and Texas Gov. Rick Perry is in fourth with 14 percent. The rest of the field of candidates polls in the low single digits.

Maybe republicans are atoning for all the ways they threw former republican candidates under the bus (poor Michael Steele) or they figure another black guy is the only one who can beat the current black guy. I have no idea, but Election 2012 is sure shaping up to be one hell of a good train wreck to watch.

Fast and Furious Government Style: Arms Scandal Claims It’s First Casualty

Looks like the government watched too many of Vin Disel’s Fast and Furious movies. The Fast and Furious scandal has been brewing for over a year and recently claimed its first victim casualty in Kenneth Melson, the interim director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tabaco and Firearm, who was reassigned over the gun trafficking operation. A second victim casualty was the the US Attonery of Phoenix who stepped down since this was/is a Phoenix based scandal.

Now, some of you may be asking what is the Fast and Furious scandal. Well…Operation Fast and Furious was a gun running undercover bust being overseen by the federal government. The operation was designed to identify illegal gun runners by funneling firearms to them so they could be tracked as they were sold. However, the operation was seriously botched. Several thousand guns ended up in the hands of Mexican cartels and have been found at the scene of the shooting deaths of at least two U.S. border agents AND vast sums of federal money were used to accomplish this massive screw up. Needless to say the Obama Admin doesn’t want the shit to hit the fan with this little federal operation any more than it already has. There’s speculation that Attorney General Eric Holder’s head may be next on the chopping block, though I doubt it since he knows where all of the bodies are buried. The only was he goes down is if their is a taint that could possibly lead to the President and then he may be offered up as the sacrificial lamb similar to Oliver North, Ronnie Reagan and the Iran Contra affair.

But we’re not there yet. Not yet anyway. However with the election season really getting underway, this scandal story probably has a lot more legs than any arachnid on the planet.

In Case You Missed It: Sarah Palin Likes Black Penis

Former Alaska Governor and Vice Presidential candidate, Sarah Palin apparently has a thing for black penis:

McGinniss claims Sarah had a steamy interracial hookup with basketball stud GLEN RICE less than a year before she eloped with her husband Todd.

Sarah hooked up with the NBA great, then a 6-foot-8 junior at the University of Michigan when he was playing in a college basketball tournament in Alaska in 1987, the book says. At the time, Sarah, just out of college, was working as a sports reporter for the Anchorage TV station KTUU.

A publishing source told The ENQUIRER that McGinniss claims Sarah had a “fetish” for black men at the time and he quotes a friend as saying Sarah had “hauled (Rice’s) ass down.”

All this from the (unauthorized) Sarah Palin biography by Joe McGinnis that’s due out on September 20th.

Come on, are we really surprised that the chick who once posed with a rifle in an American flag bikini had a “fetish” for black men? Aww, it’s so cliche that I almost didn’t write about it. Almost. You gotta admit, cliche or no, it’s priceless.

Well, us Americans aren’t the only ones that have misbehaving politicians. Seems a member of Australia’s Parliament was using union funds to feed his prostitute habit. Oy Ve:

A political scandal that threatens to bring down Australia’s fragile government deepened on Wednesday, with a trade union reporting to police allegations that a lawmaker paid prostitutes with thousands of dollars of union money.

The allegations date back to 2005 and 2007 when Craig Thomson was national secretary of the Health Services Union. They were first raised by a Sydney newspaper in 2009, but police did not investigate at the time because the union, which is aligned with the governing Labor Party, never made a complaint.

On Wednesday, the Health Services Union’s executive board voted unanimously to refer the matter to police and cooperate with any investigation of Thomson, who was elected to government in 2007.

A conviction for theft or fraud would force Thomson to quit Parliament and cost Prime Minister Julia Gillard’s year-old government its single-seat majority.

Of course there seems to be an ulterior motive in going after Craig Thomson now. One loss seat and the current Prim Minister to lose her party’s single seat majority. By all accounts her party is very unpopular at the moment and there would be no love loss if she and her party were out of power. Seriously though, you had to use union money to buy prostitutes? You didn’t think anyone would catch you? There needs to be a blog for world’s dumbest politicians. SMH.

Maria Shriver Responsible for Leaking Arnold’s Love Child Story?

There has been tons of speculation surrounding which party was responsible for leaking the story of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s secret child. Most had it as Mildred Baena being the responsible party as she was (allegedly) let go after Maria found out about the betrayal. But now TMZ is reporting that Maria Shriver’s people are the ones responsible for the leak:

TMZ has new information from sources connected to Maria. We’re told when Maria found out that Arnold was the father of Mildred Patty Baena’s son, she was “hysterical” and wanted to hold a news conference blowing the lid off the scandal.

We’re told Maria’s friends talked her off a ledge and a plan was eventually hatched to leak the details to the L.A. Times and TMZ.

And we have new information about when Maria found out about the baby. Now we’re told Maria learned about Arnold’s love child in late April or very early May.

The timeline further supports the story TMZ broke earlier — that Maria was miserable in her marriage and wanted out for a long time. As we first reported, Maria was looking at pricey L.A. condos back in January with a Beverly Hillls realtor.

Maria has told friends for nearly two years she wanted a divorce but never pulled the trigger. Maria, we’re told, is now ready to end the marriage.

TMZ goes on to say that Arnold and his people are ticked that Maria leaked the story and they know for sure that the story came form Shriver’s camp. And the plt thickens.
