WOW. Cell phones are the devil, just ask N.Y. House Republican Representative, Christopher Lee, who resigned immediately today when shirtless pics of him appeared on Gawker. Apparently he was sexting some woman he met on Craigslist, that clearly wasn’t his wife. He resigned and released a statement soon thereafter.
“It has been a tremendous honor to serve the people of Western New York,” said a statement by Lee posted on his website. “I regret the harm that my actions have caused my family, my staff and my constituents. I deeply and sincerely apologize to them all. I have made profound mistakes and I promise to work as hard as I can to seek their forgiveness.”
The statement said that “the challenges we face in Western New York and across the country are too serious for me to allow this distraction to continue, and so I am announcing that I have resigned my seat in Congress effective immediately.”
Wow that’s all I have to say. These politicians really need to read up on their Greek drama. Hubris will get you every time. I mean in this day and age of instant communication and online media who the hell would think it a good idea to sext some stranger on Craigslist when you’re a politician and have everything to use.?
I know Rick James said cocaine is a helluva drug but sex is a a helluva motivator. R.I.P. representative Christopher Lee. R.I.P.
